Secret Garden
The voices drew Maty to the garden. He opened the gate and peered inside. With so many people yelling, he could not hear a word.
The field of wild flowers stretched to the top of a hill, dotted by small and large trees. His brain felt weak with the onslaught of busy colors.
He stepped into the garden and the fetid air burned the inside of his nose. He gagged as his stomach lurched.
Maty brushed his hand along the petals of a large sunflower. The small sounds of a girl’s voice told him her secret.
